The Process

We start with a complimentary introductory phone call. If we are a fit for each other, we’ll set up an in-person consultation at your property. We’ll walk the property, discuss ideas and options, and dig deeper into your goals and vision. This consultation is typically 60-90 minutes and will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

After the initial consultation, we’ll provide you with a quote for our design services and recommendations for the project. Assuming everything looks acceptable, we’ll provide a contract and kick off the project. During the course of the project we’ll be with you every step of the way. We pride ourselves in being very hands-on and available - we’re here to ensure your project is a success, and that you are comfortable, from day one through end of the project.

FAQ’s

1. Do you provide a contractor or do we provide our own?

We can work either way. If you have a contractor that you prefer, we will gladly work hand in hand with them. If you don’t, we can refer contractors that we work with and have a great track record with. Either way, you will hire the contractor directly, and the agreement will be directly between you and them. If you choose to use a contractor that we refer and have a relationship with, we’ll act as a liaison to coordinate communication and ensure timelines and budgets are met.

2. How do we collaborate together?

Based on your input, starting with the survey and continuing through meetings and discussions, we’ll work through design options to finalize the perfect plan. Having done many projects and keeping up on the latest trends and technologies, we’ll make recommendations for your consideration. We can then talk through design options, cost trade-offs, and other considerations.

3. How do I source materials for the project?

We have relationships with most major vendors of furniture, fixtures, lighting, and other materials you will need. We can help you research options and vendors based on your input, and we’ll provide photos and web links that you can review. Ultimately, we’ll put you in touch with them to purchase materials directly.

4. What is expected of me as the client?

You play a critical role by providing candid feedback on your likes and dislikes. Share photos of design elements that you like to fine-tune the desired aesthetic.

5. What other services are included?

If the project merits it, we can create design drawings and renderings to show you the finished space prior to beginning work. Design drawings are an additional fee which will be provided and approved before starting.

6. How long does it take?

Each project is unique but we understand your need to know the approximate schedule. We’ll provide that in our quote.
